School Site Council

Welcome to the Chaparral Middle School School Site Council page.

What are School Site Councils?  School Site Councils (SSC) are part of the Moorpark Unified School District's school improvement program.  Each school has its own SSC which develops a school plan and monitors the school's progress toward implementing and meeting the goals of the plan.  Council membership consists of school staff and teachers, parents and community members.  Students are also invited to participate as non-voting representatives. Council meetings are always open to everyone.  Voting members are selected from the individuals who are interested in serving in that capacity.  Parent and student membership should be reflective of the school community as a whole.
